Born as a small workshop specialized in upholstery production, Frigerio was founded in 1938 by Federico Frigerio in Mariano Comense, in the heart of Brianza, unique district in the world for expertise and technical abilities.

Frigerio is a family business now being run by the 3rd generation of the family. They specialise in luxurious contemporary upholstery and in recent years have expanded the collection to bedroom and cabinetry thanks to the support & input of national and international architects and designers.

And finally in 2021 New Zealand buyers can access the craftsmanship and design of the Frigerio brand as Trenzseater’s Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown stores now offer the 2021 selection exclusively.

This year Frigerio unveils a new design identity enriching the collection with new proposals, the result of new collaborations, those with Christophe Pillet and Federica Biasi, who join names already close to the Frigerio world, such as Umberto Asnago, who has already signed several projects and Gianfranco Frigerio, artistic director of the company, who has designed most of the current collection.

Hallmarks of the collection are the decorative style and high quality of materials, carefully selected and all of them enhanced by their unique manufacturing processes.

As makers of beautiful locally-produced furniture, Trenzseater founders Ben and Hamish Lewis are equally meticulous about high quality as they are great design. Their commitment to Frigerio in New Zealand is strong testament to the quality behind every Frigerio piece and with the contemporary aesthetics of the 2021 line you be assured the pieces will remain on trend in your home for years to come.
