McLaren Auckland has assembled the best selection of McLaren cars ever seen in New Zealand to mark their 60th Anniversary at the Starship Supercar Show on September 16-17. In the show's biggest single-brand display, the four Ultimate Series Cars will headline the ten-strong line-up, celebrating six decades since Kiwi legend Bruce McLaren founded his company.

The Elva is a 21st-century tribute to the all-conquering Can-Am cars that dominated the North American sports car scene throughout the 1960s, to the extent that the series was dubbed the 'Bruce and Denny Show.' In a world first, the Elva will be alongside the most successful Can-Am car ever, the McLaren M8B.

The result of a 20-year-long restoration, the former Denny Hulme car is the only M8B running worldwide. In 1969, the M8B car won every race it entered, often finishing 1-2. When a third M8B was entered, McLaren secured a podium lock-out.

This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these remarkable cars together and in record-breaking company, including the 403km/h McLaren Speedtail, the fastest McLaren ever built. The Speedtail is one of three McLaren Hypercars to feature at the show, with the P1 and Senna completing the Ultimate Series Line-up.

"Auckland is Bruce McLaren's hometown, so we want to do something special to celebrate the 60th Anniversary," says Simon Evans, Brand Manager McLaren Auckland. "To have the M8B, a car Bruce built himself, is nothing short of incredible. This really will be McLarens Ultimate Display."

McLaren will join Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Lotus and Porsche in celebrating critical milestones at the Starship Supercar Show. More than 80 cars will be displayed, with a combined value now exceeding $80 million.

The show will also include the New Zealand unveiling of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which has been described as the greatest hypercar ever built. The Valkyrie shares top billing with the McLaren Elva and the new Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4.

Some of the most desirable cars from Porsche, Bentley, Ferrari, Bugatti and Pagani will be on show, with this year's Starship Supercar Show will be held across two days, 16-17 September. This is to allow even more people to experience New Zealand's most impressive gathering of high-performance and luxury machinery, with 100% of ticket sales revenue going to the Starship Foundation.

Ticket prices: $25 for adults, $15 for children 13 and under & $20 for Gold Card Holders.
