Aston Martin has formed a strategic supply agreement with Lucid Group.

The alliance grants access to industry-leading technologies and a long-term relationship where Lucid will supply select powertrain components for Aston Martin's future ultra-luxury high-performance electric vehicle models, underpinned by an all-new modular BEV platform.

The new partnership includes a strategic supply agreement with Lucid to access their industry-leading technologies, with Lucid supplying Aston Martin with select powertrain components for initial and future battery electric vehicle (BEV) models. This partnership is a significant step for Aston Martin in its goal to create thrilling and desirable electric performance cars.

The electrification program is a crucial part of Aston Martin's wider Racing. Green. Sustainability strategy, which involves investing over £2 billion in advanced technologies over the next five years. The investment will focus on transitioning from internal combustion engine (ICE) technology to BEV technology. Mercedes-Benz AG will also continue to provide Aston Martin with access to world-class technologies, including powertrain and electric/electronic architectures.

Aston Martin plans to develop an all-new in-house BEV platform using Lucid's powertrain and battery technology. This platform will serve as the basis for Aston Martin's future electrified model range, including hypercars, sports cars, GTs, and SUVs. The first vehicle based on this platform is targeted for launch in 2025. By 2026, all new Aston Martin model lines will offer an electrified powertrain option, with the ultimate objective of fully electrifying the core range by 2030.
