As temperatures cool down outside, JBL says film and music fans will be cranking up the volume indoors with five new soundbars launching in New Zealand that promise to deliver fully immersive home cinema audio direct to any living space.

The audio giant says its new JBL Bar series will elevate the audio experience of a movie with Dolby Atmos technology for heart pounding, immersive audio. With five models - headlined by the premium and powerful Bar 1300 - there are a variety of options in the line-up for entertainment enthusiasts to choose from, with a range of budgets.

“JBL has carefully engineered our soundbar range, packing them with features like Dolby Atmos and 3D surround sound, to create that encompassing audio, deep bass and detailed sound your content demands - so you get the full experience from all your favourite entertainment,” said Michael Sherman, Senior Strategy Manager for JBL New Zealand.

“With an exciting lineup of major sporting events scheduled this winter, there’s never been a better time to upgrade your home audio," Sherman continued. "Our latest and greatest soundbars will have the user feeling like they're right there on the sideline."

Offering the ultimate 3D surround experience, JBL says customers will never have heard anything quite like the JBL Bar 1300 in their living room or anywhere else.

More than just a soundbar, the range-topping Bar 1300 offers up a full sound system. It features MultiBeam and six up-firing drivers — four in the bar and two in the detachable battery-powered surround speakers — that deliver massive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound, centering the user right in music, movies, and games.

With total output power of 1170W and deep bass from a 10” subwoofer, the audio hardware manufacturer says the Bar 1300 has more than enough power to make the room shake.

Additionally, users won't miss a word due to the Bar 1300's inbuilt PureVoice technology, which makes sure dialogue is clear even when other sounds are at their loudest.

When music is much-needed, favorite tunes can be chosen to stream via either AirPlay, Alexa Multiroom Music (MRM), or Chromecast built-in that provides for over 300 music streaming options. JBL says that choice is effectively unlimited because the soundbar can also be paired to a Bluetooth device. One or both of the detachable speakers can even be transported into the kitchen or onto the deck so music and podcasts can be enjoyed beyond the living room.

The JBL Bar series soundbar range is available in New Zealand now. The range-topping JBL Bar 1300 retails for $2099.95.
