The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 is an automotive icon, known by collectors for its rarity and historical significance. With only 55 units ever produced, it holds a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts. But relax, thankfully to ensure the preservation of these limited-production vehicles, no original models were used during filming. Instead, five replica cars were meticulously crafted to replicate the exterior appearance of the 964 model.
To enhance the authenticity of Mirage's character, a real 911 RS 3.8 was utilised to capture the engine sound of Mirage's vehicle form.
"This attention to detail aimed to provide audiences with an immersive and true-to-life experience." says Ayesha Coker, Vice President of Marketing at Porsche Cars North America, who has expressed her satisfaction with the result, given the challenges of reproducing the sound from a limited production car.
