Allbirds collaborates with artist Tiffany Bouelle
Kiwi show brand Allbirds has released the final instalment of their 2023 Artist Series, this time with Paris-based Franco-Japanese artist, Tiffany Boulle.

Allbirds handed a blank Canvas Pacer to artist Tiffany Bouelle and she went to town with her signature brush strokes.
Inspired by her early coloring book days, this limited edition, playful collaboration is what happens when natural materials meet natural talent.
The limited-edition drop, which launches in New Zealand this month, sees Bouelle utilise the Allbirds Pacer silhouette as her sustainable blank canvas. As one of Allbirds’s newer styles, it features organic cotton, Tencel Lyocell and a sugarcane-based green EVA, SweetFoam.
During the design process, Tiffany Bouelle was drawn back to her roots, reflecting on her love of art and how that originated from her early colouring books. Using her signature wide paint-strokes and an earthy colour palette, Bouelle created an expressive scribble-filled graphic reminiscent of a Paint by Numbers book. The upper is complemented by a new braided rope shoe lace, adding further dimension and texture.
Speaking of her inspiration, Bouelle said, “I was born with a pencil in my hand, so I wanted to share my passion for drawing and the happiness it has always brought to my life. This pattern represents what one day propelled me towards painting, with an essential reminder of the colouring book that was my first creative and inventive step. I wanted to awaken the child in all of us.”
Allbirds previously collaborated with Tiffany Bouelle at Le Bon Marché, the prestigious Parisian department store, where the brand hosted a successful pop-up in 2021. Following fashion school, Bouelle started her career as a stylist in Paris and Hong Kong, before showcasing her art in 2018. As an artist, she went on to collaborate with brands such as Moynat, Gucci, Vogue, Dior, MyTheresa and Augustinus Bader. Through her art, she celebrates different themes such as travel, the place of women in society, the relationship to the body and social networks.
For the Artist Series, Albirds gave the design reins over to three creatives from around the world, challenging them to put their own unique spin on three silhouettes. Previous instalments include the Olivia Rubin Riser, and the Zipeng Zhu Tree Flyer 2 – both of which have been instant hits with customers.
The Allbirds x Tiffany Bouelle Canvas Pacer will retail at NZD $195, and will be available online at allbirds.co.nz and in the brand’s Covent Garden Flagship store. The partnership came to fruition with the help of B Corp art agency MTArt.
